Meet Chris and Olivia Mattox, the heart behind Tennessee River Outfitters, Scottsboro’s new outdoor store created with a passion for nature, adventure, and community.

After 30 years of marriage, raising two sons, welcoming a daughter-in-law, and recently becoming proud grandparents, Chris and Olivia are now embarking on a new adventure—this time, through the doors of their very own outfitters business. Their love for the outdoors began back in 2005 when they bought their first camper, sparking a lifelong passion for camping and exploring.

With 25 years of farming experience and deep Southern roots grounded in faith and family, the Mattox family is dedicated to serving others in every season of life. Now, they’re bringing that same dedication to the outdoor community right here in Scottsboro.
